Our Story
The journey of BookBanquetRoom.com began when Founder and CEO Sarosh Khatib experienced, first-hand, the complexities with booking venues for events. He noticed a significant gap between the elegance of physical spaces and the outdated, manual systems used to manage them.

Founder and CEO
Sarosh comes with wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. He has worked with leading hotel brands like Taj, Hyatt and Leela in senior capacities. Sarosh has taken all the insights he gained over the years to create a product which will change the way meetings and events are planned.
Balakrishnan Ayalur
Co-Founder and CTO
Bala is a hands-on software architect with over 22 years of experience in the design and development of large scale software systems for Fortune 500 organizations such as adidas and P&G.
Jayaraman Vishwanathan
Co-Founder and Director
Vishwanathan has over 30 years of experience in India and overseas in portfolio management, private equity, industry and entrepreneurship. He was amongst the early pioneers of private equity in India.
Vaishali Ravani
Vice President – Operations
Vaishali comes with over 20 years of experience in banquets and catering. She has led large sales teams for leading luxury hotel brands in India. Prior to joining bookbanquetroom.com, Vaishali was the Director of Sales with Leela Group of hotels.

Sameer Sharma has 15+ years of experience as an E-commerce and Marketplace specialist, and he has developed strong talents in Website Designing, Digital & Social media marketing.

Ajinkya is the Assistant Manager of Operations, responsible for optimizing processes, and ensuring that all teams work in sync to deliver smooth and efficient outcomes.

Sourav Sachin
Sourav is an IIT Bombay Alumni and is very well known in the software circles. He has mentored many startups and is currently running his own company namely www.claimzippy.com. Incidentally, he was one of the key team members of Flipkart and served as Director of Engineering and helped launch the Flipkart marketplace.
Kurien Jacob
Kurien spearheads HTV (Highgate Tech Ventures) as Managing Director and Partner. Prior to launching HTV, Kurien was Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Highgate Hotels, a universally recognized hospitality industry leader today. During his tenure as CRO, he built Highgate's revenue management team, platform and distribution capabilities whilst innovating with technologies that supported the core business.
Himanshu Tambe
Himanshu currently teaches and conducts research at premier Business Schools in India and Singapore. Prior to this, he worked as a Managing Director at Accenture. Prior experiences include Arthur D Little, the world's oldest and storied consulting firm; establishing and operating a niche Strategy and Organization Design company; working as an automobile manufacturing engineer at the very start of his career.
